Obituary

Regan, Donald (Don) Joseph, Age 84, a longtime resident of San Clemente, CA passed away peacefully on December 6, 2012. Born March 18, 1928 in Chicago, IL. He was one of eight children, son to his beloved mother, Julia Regan. In 1947, he moved to California with his mother and sisters. In 1954, he met Marilyn Subith and they were married in 1955. Don was married to his loving and dedicated wife Marilyn for 52 years. Together they raised their family of five in Covina, Palm Desert, Glendora and San Clemente, CA. He is survived by his second wife, Linda; his five children, Patrick Regan (Dana), Michael Regan (Jaynie), Julie Kramer, Robert Regan (Mary), Kathy Phelps (Don); his 11 grandchildren, Jamie Ivins, Dawn Regan, Erin Lammers, Kelley Podzimek, Cheryl Chiappelli, Matthew Regan, Sarah Kramer, Ben Kramer, Catherin Regan, Hunter Phelps and Ian Phelps.

Don enjoyed traveling the world with his wife Marilyn and his second wife Linda. He also loved having his family around him and was a lively entertainer. He had an infectious belly laugh and enjoyed a good joke more than anyone. He was avid Note Dame Football fan and was known to get his grandchildren to join in support of his favorite team. Don was also known to wear funny hats at family events; he had a huge smile and was always willing to be photographed. We love you Dad and Grandpa, we will all miss you very much!

Recitation of the holy Rosary will be held Friday, December 14, at 5:30 PM at Our Lady of Fatima, 105 N. La Esperanza, and San Clemente, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial to be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 105 N. La Esperanza, San Clemente, CA. A private interment will be held at a later date.
