I wanted to thank all of you for raising and cultivating such an amazing daughter/sister so that the rest of the world could love and share in her.
Dawna was a very special friend to so many, and remains a magnificent soul in this world. She had such a rare gift of humor, wisdom, compassion, strength, sarcasm, wit and thoughtfulness, to name just a few of her attributes… I, for one, will never be able to open a greeting card again without wondering where all the confetti has gone!
Her courage throughout her battle with this terrible disease is an inspiration to us all…
I know Dawna was incredibly proud of the strength you have all shown throughout her illness, and she must have gained a great deal of comfort knowing you would have each other to hold on to once she left us. I can’t thank you enough for all the “update” e-mails, and for allowing us such frequent visitation with her – unselfishly sharing her in these precious last days.
My deepest condolences and love to all of you, Georgie

We send our love and lots of hugs from 7000 miles away, and hope they will help a little bit to ease your sorrow. Dawna was not only a good friend to us, but was a very special guiding light to Jill as she went through her teens and worked with Dawna at ChuckECheese–often as CEC himself! An incalculable number of families have Dawna to thank for being a part of their children’s lives as she went about her duties to make sure every party would be a special memory for all concerned. There’s another star in the sky tonight in memory of this selfless woman who was taken way before her time. Much love to you all. Janet-George-Liam-Oliver-Hannah
