Dawna- we celebrated your bday in style on Friday night. I had one and half Bobs burgers, thinking of you the whole time. Whenever I go to a place that requires taking a name, mostly Starbucks, I always use your name. I miss you….
Love,
Launi

I never new you. Always lived away from California after college. Know your parents for
A LONG time and we now e mail back and forth all the time. They help keep my spirits up. Here are two poems….
To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it’s time I traveled alone.
So grieve a while for, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear
All of my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say,
“Welcome Home.”
AFTER GLOW
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun goes down
and remember the happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
