Obituary
Dawn Cherie Orrick
11/26/1960 – 06/05/2018
Our beloved mother, Dawn Cherie Orrick passed away at her home in San Juan Capistrano on June 5, 2018. Born Dawn Cherie Hall to Diane Lambert and David Hall on November 26, 1960, she grew up in Fullerton CA where she attended Troy High School.
Survived by her loving Mother Diane Ferruzzo and Step Father of 29 years Tom Ferruzzo of San Juan Capistrano; Father David Hall of Carlsbad; Sister Tammy Orrick of Big Bear Lake. Dawn is also survived by her three children whom she adored, Daughter Nichole Cherie Mangiagli and Son Cody Frank Mangiagli of Connecticut, Son Michael Lennon Murray of San Juan Capistrano; and her five Grandchildren, Damique, Chase, Faith, Ava and Aurora, all of Connecticut.
Dawn lived out most of her life in Southern California and considered Main Beach in Laguna her home. Her love for the ocean never let her stray far for long and no matter where her travels took her, she always returned to the beach. Dawn’s love for the California Coast was matched only by her love for music. The TV was rarely on, but the stereo was a constant, with her appreciation for all types of music evident in her CD collection. Every song was her favorite.
This outgoing and adventurous, life-loving soul had many trials and tribulations throughout her life, as we all have. But her determination and will to overcome these challenges was evident in her daily actions. Dawn’s stories and life experiences were worthy of print, and would always leave her audience wanting to hear more.
Her deep love for those she cared about was immeasurable. She was loyal and thoughtful to many friends, helping others even when it caused her hardship in doing so. Dawn had an amazing gift in her ability to be companion and caretaker to many throughout her life. Using her strong spiritual nature and profound sense of compassion, she helped those she loved pass with dignity, love and the unwavering support of a familiar face. She was there till the end.
The chapter that was this life is closed, and now she begins anew. For this we are not weeping, we know that her spirit will always be with those she loved.
Please join Dawn’s children and family at the home of Diane and Tom, for an open house Memorial and Celebration of Life. To be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from Noon to 4pm. Share stories, pictures, music and the love that binds us all to our Dawnie-Girl.

Until death do us part..,.it’s not going to be that easy crash….you are the most difficult, contentious and stubborn human being I have ever encountered and if you think your going to get the last word this time ..
.I don’t like it here much with you gone…I never did. I will see you soon…
..my dearest friend, my confidant, my wife..
Yours
.

Halloween will never be the same without you. All the crazy decorations, dressing up and the excitement building up to trick or treat. You were part of our family for too short a time but immensely loved. Thanks for all the daily phone calls when Ed was not home, it made my day. I remember the day we went to the Animal Shelter found Animal and he became your constant companion along with a Yorkie with attitude. What fun times these 2 dogs had together at the beach. Now you won’t have to ask me “to pray to my God”, as you often did when you needed help, Now you are in ” Our God’s” presents enjoying all of his Glory. The Gilbrook Family share in the loss of Dawn and will always keep her in our hearts.
