I was on the Muhlenberg College fencing team with Dan for all four years. I recall that he was the NCAA division 3 champion in the Epee when he was a senior, I believe. A very serious and focused young man and a very good student. The Muhlenberg magazine said none of that other than posting his death. My sincere condolences to his family.
