CONSTANCE HARRISON SCHWEICKART
1920-2006

Schweickart, Connie was a woman of courage. Courage to marry her husband, Al, in 1941, shortly before he went off to war. Courage to raise an infant in his absence, while working as a secretary. Courage to follow him as he was transferred from place to place during his successful career as an executive with General Electric. Courage to love and tend to him as he fought his battle with the cancer that finally took him from her. Courage to carry on alone, while keeping in touch with her children and grandchildren. And courage to fight her own battle with failing health, until she went to join her husband on Friday, the 4th of August 2006.

Connie had been President of the Hacienda Heights Women’s Club and a member of Las Damas in the Casta del Sol community of Mission Viejo.

Connie’s legacy is that of beloved mother and grandmother. She leaves four children Carol Guess of La Jolla; Joan Rice of Santa Maria; Bert Schweickart of Boise, Idaho; and Debby Zolla of Coronado; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons — all of whom will miss her dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 ~ 11:00 AM at Presbyterian Church of the Master, Mission Viejo, CA.
