Claudette Buckley
January 9, 1936 – April 9, 2024

Claudette Buckley, a beautiful woman, without fanfare always placed God, her family, her friends and those in need ahead of herself.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to Los Angeles, California in her early teens, graduated from Fairfax High School, and attended Loyola University (now Loyola Marymount University) where she worked for several years in the Public Relations Department.

Claudy, to her friends and family, met Terrence (Terry) Buckley at Loyola University upon his return from the military in 1956. They married in 1957, started a family in Culver City, California, then moved to Woodland Hills, California and finally to Bayshores in Newport Beach, California, where they resided for 40 years. While enjoying beach life and travel, Claudy continued her dedication to others and devoted herself to the service of those in need. At Our Lady Queen of Angels parish she started several thriving organizations both within the parish and worldwide.

Claudy is survived by her husband, Terry, daughter Kathleen (Don) Miller, sons Keith (Ann) Buckley and Gregg (Dina) Buckley, grandchildren Kristen (Tony) Solorzano, Kaylyn Buckley, Jenna Buckley, Matt Buckley, Lulu Buckley, and Reilly Buckley, and great-granddaughter Amelia Solorzano.

Claudy’s family asks that you honor her memory by doing acts of kindness for others.

Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 2046 Mar Vista Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 at 10:00 am on Monday, April 22, 2024. A reception will follow immediately in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish Hall.
