Obituary
Clarence Hilton Kliewer, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2012 at his home in Seal Beach, California. Born in Steinbach, Manitoba to Gerhardt and Maria Kliewer, he lived most of his life in Long Beach, California. Clarence is survived by his wife Grace of 50 years, son Jason, daughter-in-law Wendi, sisters Darlyne and MaryAnn and two loving grandchildren Carson and Avery. Clarence was a loving father, husband, grandfather and faithful friend.
In his earlier years, Clarence loved curling and golfing and worked as a sales rep at Champion Sparkplugs for nearly 30 years until he was forced to retire due to health issues. In his later years, Clarence enjoyed watching sports and reading suspense novels. Clarence was best known for his never failing, dry quick-witted sense of humor. During a recent hospital stay, a nurse asked Clarence to undress and Clarence replied, “Shouldn’t we have dinner first?”
A memorial service will be held at the O’Connor Mortuary at 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, California on Friday, October 26, 2012 (the day of Clarence’s 75th birthday) at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at El Toro Memorial Park at 25751 Trabuco Road in Lake Forest, California.

I always remember my Uncle Clarence fondly, clearly for his humor and striking good looks; but also his straightforwardness, while still always being kind. I regret not having had the opportunity to know him and his family better. Whenever I think of the Kliewer gang however, he will forever come to mind, and my heart. My love and prayers are with you Auntie Grace.
Always, Barb
