Obituary

Alexander Sedoff, 89, of Laguna Beach, California.

Sedoff, Alexander was born on May 13, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to Russian immigrant parents. From a young age, it was obvious that he had a beautiful baritone voice, which led him to win awards and entertain in Vaudeville. As a young man, he won the ?Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour? radio show, the ?American Idol? program of its day. He met his lovely wife, Louise, at the age of 16. They married at 21 and were happily wedded for 67 years until Louise’s passing in 2004. After a few years in show business, Alex was successful in the automotive industry and worked for Chrysler, which brought he and his family to Laguna Beach in 1958. There they lived for almost 50 years. Alex went from Chrysler to a career in the General Motors Corporation where he worked at the GM Training Center in Burbank for over 20 years. He was a well-respected instructor and known across the country for his excellent seminars and wonderful wit. He was the father of three children, Gregor, Alan and Alexis, and had seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He happily retired with his beautiful wife in their Laguna Beach home, where he lived out his life. His passions were singing, golfing and his family. Alex will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 ~ 11:00 A.M. at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr., Corona Del Mar, CA 92625.
