  2. The memorial service was such a beautiful tribute to Aaron.
Thank you, Coke and Layne, for sharing from the heart and helping us all get to know Aaron on a deeper level.
What an amazing young man with many talents.
Clearly, Aaron was so deeply loved by all his family and friends and will be terribly missed.
Prayers for God’s grace to abound towards you and your family, dear friends.
    Much love, Kenny, and Carlene
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.”

Melzer I always tried to make sure you knew how loved you were. Everyone wanted to be you. Everyone wanted to be your friend. You were the light of our friend group. You drew people like a moth to a flame. I remember telling people I was friends with you and they always got so jealous. I always felt so honored to call you my friend. How did I get that lucky? You were the nicest person. You definitely did drive me crazy sometimes. You had the best smile. I loved when you laughed so hard your head went back. We had so many crazy adventures. I will miss you at Zach’s events. I will miss you every day. Thank you for all your friendship over the last eleven years. I will cherish those memories forever.

I’ll never forget the first time we spoke. We were on Warped Tour in Houston, I was pretty dehydrated and you laughed because you saw this was clearly my first rodeo. So you gave me a can of water and offered me shelter.
Your kindness, selflessness, love and respect has been felt ever since.
So many of my favourite memories include you and the band of brothers that brought us together. Crashing on our couch for 4 days because you “felt at home”, you cooking a spaghetti dinner at midnight as a thank you, us all yelling while Cam ran across literal thin ice over a pond in the Old Port, popping confetti on the last day of WT that summer, all of us cramming into my mom’s van, family dinner at Billy’s, karaoke at that bar across from The Revolution in Amityville (I made us sing Baby Got Back and we butchered it the whole way through together ‚), travelling hours to see you, our conversations about our thoughts on the future, your sheer honesty and respect. You’ve been a positive influence on my life and I hate that you’re gone. Your light, your infectious and handsome smile and your beautiful soul will be missed.
I can’t begin to imagine how your family, friends, bandmates must feel. Anyone of you reading this, I continue to think about about you and to send you love. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers.
Rest easy Aaron. Looking forward to our next spaghetti dinner, or poutine on Mont Royal.

  5. Rest in peace, Aaron. We miss you. You were so great and gone too soon. Sending love and prayers. Aaron forever ‡
