When TIP Doesn’t Show Up (TIP Volunteers & Staff)
We are accustomed to hearing gratitude from individuals, families, first responders, and ER staff about the value we offer to those who are living through a traumatic event. But what happens to traumatized individuals who do not benefit from the care of a TIP volunteer? In this inspirational talk, our colleague and friend, Dr. Bill Hoy will overview for us what happens to traumatized people when there is a lack of support in the immediate aftermath of trauma. It will inspire us in the work we do and remind us of why it is so vital that TIP volunteers are willing to step into difficult places others when others want to flee.
