“Reflecting on a Two-Year Journey through Grief”
– On September 9, 2021, Bill Hoy’s brother died after a month-long struggle with COVID-19, thrusting his family into the personal experience of loss so many have faced. Then, exactly one year later, his mother-in-law died after six days on hospice care three years of 24/7 caregiving as Bill and Debbie welcomed Margaret into their home. Now, he reflects back on what he has learned about grief and living through these experiences and how those discoveries are useful for those of us who grieve and who accompany others on the loss journey. In this poignant and powerful workshop, he will share his personal story and how his professional training did—and did not—help in the process.
