I met steve when i was 17 in Albany N.Y. & steve was 22 , he was a cab driver..a while after we dated..i got pregnant & steve wasn’t keen on my pregnancy , we had a rocky relationship…he did not want.the baby..April 25,1990 our son Patrick was born…he demanded i give him up for adoption, he wanted nothing to do with me anymore & our son..so i ended up giving him up, which i regret to this day…3 yrs after i ran into him & he tells me , he regrets that we gave him up..i was so hurt , my heart broke & it still is…i hated him for a long time..i am now trying to look for my son & its too bad steve isn’t around to ever meet him…but i truly believe his death is his KARMA…may he reap what he sows..he took my life from me & i could never forgive him for that.

Amy, Four years has passed and I didn’t know about Steve until today. Very sad about the news. We saw ‘Blues Brothers’ in Las Vegas years ago, last time I hung out with him. We were flatmates for 7 years on Lancaster St., while driving for Yellow. I’ve wondered how you are doing these years, Amy, and it has been three years since you posted this, and you are understandably struggling to cope with not knowing your son (I talked to a guy on Lark St once who would have been about Patrick’s age, who looked a lot like Steve!)…anyhow, e-mail me at aheartisthepart@gmail.com, if you happen to see this, if you care to. God Bless, Steve. You were a good friend to many, and an interesting person.

Amy, I just found this out about Steve today. Very sad. We saw the Blues Brothers in Las Vegas years ago, and that’s the last time I saw him. I’m sorry to read you are still very upset about how things went. I know you cared a lot about him. RIP Steve. He was a good roomie for 7 years on Lancaster St. and we worked together at Yellow, before he moved to So. Cal. Hope you are ok, Amy. I’ve wondered what you’re doing these years. Contact if you care to. aheartisthepart@gmail.com
