  1. To Greg and family,
It is clear that your mother has been a wonderful blessing to all. She certainly touched us with her kindness and love for others. The sting of death is a heavy burden to carry. No amount of sympathetic words, I’m guessing, can console you during this time. But remember these words:

“Brothers and sisters, we don’t want you to be ignorant about those who have died. We don’t want you to grieve like other people who have no hope. We believe that Jesus Christ died and came back to life. We also believe that, through Jesus Christ, God will bring back those who have died. They will come back with Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Your mother loved others as He has loved her. And now this is your commandment, Greg: “that you love one another. By this I will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35.

So, for you and your family, until you are united in Christ again, and in sweet memory of your mother, love. Her legacy will then live on for generations.

  2. Autumn won’t be the same without Elaine Makin out on the soccer field cheering on her beloved grandchildren! We so enjoyed the many Saturdays we shared chatting and watching the kids play. We are so sorry for your loss!

    Love,

  3. Julie Schoen says:

    Dear Makin Family,
Words are always so trivial at this time. But do know that if there is anything we can do for you, we are here for you.
Always, the Schoens, Jim, Julie and Emily

  4. I’m so sorry for your loss. I will miss Elaine very much. She was very special to me and I felt she treated me like family. A fond memory of mine is how she would wrap up dinner for me and put my name on it, if I couldn’t be there. She let me stay at her house in time of need. She was great friend and good influence in my life. She will always live in my heart and my memories.

  5. Roy, Scott, Greg, Brian & Kirk, Cindy, Julie, and grandchildren. Words alone cannot relate to you just how sad I am at this time. I am so sorry that I could not be there with you. I loved Elaine like a sister. There are so many memories I will always treasure. My thought and prayers are with all of you. Love, Bob & Sandy Hall
