How we serve is shaped by care, experience, and attention to detail. From the services we provide to the spaces and equipment we maintain, every choice is made with comfort, clarity, and respect in mind.
A 6% inflation protection has been included in all advance plans. This elected inflation protection protects the next of kin or responsible party from being responsible for the annual increases on the costs selected for the life of the contract with O’Connor Mortuary. If the inflation protection is declined, the next of kin or responsible party will be responsible for the price difference between the advance funeral plan agreement price and the current retail price when services are rendered.
Administrative and Professional Services of Funeral Arranger and Staff

Priority Filing Fee — $360
This is a basic fee that we charge every family for our professional service in assisting them with their preferences. It includes a proportionate share of our overhead required to serve the public. Our charge includes but is not limited to consultation with the family, administrative and clerical services, preparation of the death certificate for certification of the attending physician or coroner, consultation with cemetery or common carrier, our availability 24 hours a day to bring your loved one into our care at O’Connor Mortuary – Laguna Hills and to answer questions you may have. This fee also includes placement of obituary notices on-line at www.oconnormortuary.com. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee for our basic services and overhead is already included in our charges for direct cremation, direct burial, forwarding remains and receiving remains).
Professional Care
(All professional care is performed at O’Connor Mortuary)
Dressing, Cosmetology and Casketing - $310
Post Autopsy or other Restorative Care - $400
Refrigeration and Care for your loved one while at our facility - $925
Custodial Care - After 7 days, $50 per day
Use of Care Center for Medical or Ceremonial Purposes (2 Hour Maximum) - $500

Utility Vehicle:* - $320 Vehicle utilized for the local transfer of flowers, plants, service related equipment and memorial products the day of service.
*Local Area – 25-mile radius; for distances over 25-mile radius there will be a $5 per mile fee.

Graveside Ceremony (Only)

Includes the mortuary staff and necessary equipment for the coordination of the ceremony. Sound system available upon request and subject to availability.
Professional Embalming

$615
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming will be performed at O’Connor Mortuary – Laguna Hills.
*Weekend and Holiday Service Fee: Additional $500 Fee for Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday Services.
