In Loving Memory of Edith Gnasso

June 1, 1933 – July 8, 2026

Edith Luisa Marvin Gnasso, a woman of profound faith, dedication, and grace, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 93. Known for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her community and family, Edith leaves behind a legacy of love and quiet strength in her significant time primarily living in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and later in Calimesa, California.

Born 1933 in Amityville, NY, Edith lived a life centered around service and family. For many years, she was a supportive partner in ministry alongside her late husband, the Reverend Enrico Mario Gnasso, a beloved priest in the Episcopal Church who passed away in 2017. Together, they shared a deep commitment to their faith and neighborhood advocacy, particularly in environmental stewardship and caring for their local community. She served over 50 years in the Order of the Eastern Star holding positions to include Worthy Matron in both the Pewaukee and Yucaipa-San Gorgonio chapters.

Edith was a devoted mother to her children, Paul Timothy (Veronica) Gnasso, Andrew Michael Gnasso, and the late Rhoda Anne Gnasso. She was also a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Austin, Marlena, and was preceded in death by her grandson, Jake. Her family will remember her as the gentle anchor of their lives, always ready with a word of encouragement or a comforting presence.

A celebration of life is being planned with the intent to hold at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Beaumont, CA on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Additional details will be forthcoming and posted upon this site.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice helping children in need in honor of Edith’s lifelong commitment to helping others.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on her official memorial page at https://www.oconnormortuary.com/obituaries/edith-gnasso
