Sih-Sunoto, Winny (Ong, Kim-Tjhioe)- October 2, 1943- June 20, 2018. We lost a beautiful soul on June 20, 2018. Winny Sunoto passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 74. She is greatly loved and very much missed by her husband of 50 years, Rene Sih Sunoto (Sih Ing Soen); her two children and their spouses, Angelica (Sih Sian Hie) and Mark, Regina (Sih Sian Tien) and Matthieu; her two grandchildren Pascal and Etienne; her six siblings: Robby, Barry, Tom, Lisa, Stanley and Frank; and her extended family.

Winny was born in Semarang, Indonesia to Ong Liong Hing and Lie Hing Nio. She attended SD (elementary school) at Gedangan, SMP (middle school) at Maria Mediatrix, SMA (high school) at Sedes Sapiente and University of Indonesia, Jakarta, where she majored in English. She then married Ing Soen November 27,1967. She worked for Almaco as an English translator. In December of 1976, she and her family moved to the United States. She worked for Bank of America for 30 years, of which the last 15 were in the private banking division. She happily retired at the age of 65. She loved singing in the Queen of Angels Choir, ballroom dancing, gardening, and spending time with her family and many friends. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile, warmth and kindness towards others.

To celebrate her life, Winny’s family welcome your attendance at the vigil to be held on Monday, June 25, O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills, 7-9 pm and funeral mass to be held Tuesday, June 26, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Philip Benizi Church, 235 S. Pine Drive, Fullerton, CA 93833.
