Judy and I will always recall with fondness the welcome and love we received from Willie and Martha following our brief meeting at the Junior National swim meet in Ft. Lauderdale about 25 years ago. On several occasions in the years following that meeting we had the opportunity to enjoy visits and lunch in their home in Venice. Willie’s optimism, vitality and joy for life has long served as an inspiration to us. He showed us how to be a loving parent, grandparent and a good friend to all.
