Thomas, William Tell

'William Tell', a long-time resident of Irvine, passed-away on April 1, in the loving care of his wife, Jo-Ann. Bill was born on October 26, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN. His mother, Beatrice, relocated her family to Southern California when Bill was a child. His life-long love of music began when he worked as a disc-jockey while serving in the Navy during World War II. Bill retired from the Kwikset Division of Black & Decker after 40 years of service. As Vice President of Marketing, he assisted over 700 police departments with their public safety and crime prevention programs. After retiring in 1989, Bill and Jo-Ann shared a wonderful life together, travelling the world to find unique additions to their art collection.
A memorial service will be held at the Mariners Chuch in Irvine on Wednesday April 11 at 1 pm.
