William P. Sullivan was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 12, 1930 to Joseph and Rita Sullivan. He grew up in Belmont, MA. He graduated from Notre Dame University and went onto Boston College to earn his law degree. He was an attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission for 46 years. He lived most of his life in the Alexandria, Virginia area until 12 years ago, when he moved to California to live with his niece Tracy and her family. He was an insatiable reader, he loved cars and animals. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rita and his older sister Joan Sullivan.

William is survived by his younger sister and brother-in-law Carol and Arthur Ahearn; his niece and her husband Tracy and Marc Weintraub; his nephew and his wife Neil and Sherry Ahearn; his grandnieces Zoe Weintraub and Lindsey Ahearn and grandnephew Ryan Ahearn; and his loving caretaker Elena Flores. He was deeply loved and will be treasured in our hearts forever.

Funeral mass will be held February 24th at St Edwards Catholic church at 11am. There will also be a chapel service in Belmont MA on March 1st, 1pm at the Stanton Funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your local animal shelter in William's name.
