William Joseph McMahon Jr. of Newport Beach, CA passed away on September 18, 2014. He was born on December 5, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA and was the son of William Joseph McMahon and Sara Peek. He married Therese ” Terry” Margaret Musante on June 20, 1959 in Los Angeles, CA. The couple resided in Taft, Whittier, Tustin and retired in Newport Beach, CA. William attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles and the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned his Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked 8 years as a petroleum engineer for Standard Oil before earning his Doctorate in Dental Science from USC. William had a dental practice in Tustin for over 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Terry; son William McMahon III; daughters Therese McMahon Maia, Elizabeth McMahon, Kathleen McMahon, Angela McMahon Ahern and Claire McMahon Jenkins, his seven grandchildren and his sister Suzanne Milner. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held October 1, 2014 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 1441 W. Balboa Blvd., Newport Beach at 11am. Burial will be held October 2, 2014 at 11am at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
