Obituary
Wulke, William L. ‘Bill,’ 86, passed away on October 21, 2010 at his home in Lake Forest, CA. Bill was born to Harvey and Florence Wulke in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 29th, 1924.
After high school, he enlisted in the army. After receiving an honorable discharge, Bill attended the University of Minnesota, married his sweetheart Clarice, and moved to Torrance, CA in 1951 to work for North American Aviation as an aeronautical engineer. Bill and Clarice moved to Santa Maria, CA in 1956, and to Lake Forest, CA in 1978. While in Lake Forest, Bill worked for the Austin Company as an architectural engineer, building large facilities for the Navy, Beckman Instruments, Clorox Corp., Frito-Lay and several others.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Patrice Kucera; son-in-law, AJ Kucera; and was most proud of his three grandsons, Cory, Taylor and Riley Kucera.
Bill’s lifelong love of aviation was passed down to his grandson Riley, whose wish was to take his Grandpa up flying after he soloed at John Wayne Airport this month. Unfortunately, because of health reasons, that wasn’t possible. But we all know that Grandpa will be watching from heaven. Bill loved to travel and it didn’t matter if it was by car, train or plane, he loved it all. Bill was such a kind, thoughtful, grateful optimistic person with a sunny disposition and great smile. He will be missed so very, very much by all of his family and friends and will be forever in our hearts.
Graveside services will be at El Toro Memorial Park, 25751 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630, 949-951-8244, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. Reception to follow.
