William Kaplan, born March 27, 1925 in Chicago Illinois. Passed away December 21, 2012 in Laguna Hills, CA at the age of 87.

He served in China, India and Burma during World War II as a sergeant. During his Military service William received two Bronze Stars and was awarded the American Campaign, Good Conduct and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medals.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Kaplan and children Richard Kaplan, James Kaplan and Lynda Biederman; 5 Granddaughters and 1 Great-Grandson.

A military burial ceremony will take place on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 1:00 PM at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, 1800 Cabrillo Memorial Drive San Diego CA 92106.
