William Farrell Bill Hoyem, age 65, of Lake Forest, passed away on Saturday March 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with renal cell cancer.

Bill was born in Alhambra, CA on May 24, 1944. He was a graduate of Mater Dei High in 1962 and served 4 yrs. in the Air Force. Bill was a dedicated Paramedic/Firefighter for 24 yrs. for the City of Gardena. He was also an avid sportsman and chef. His passion was his family and his many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 39 yrs., Susan; his two sons, Dylan wife Sara and Shaun wife Amber; his two grandsons Ty and Trent; sister Donna Babbs; and brother Rick Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Santiago Catholic Church, 21682 Lake Forest Dr., Lake Forest at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31, to which family and friends are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the City of Hope or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.

Bill is deeply loved and will be forever in our hearts.
