Obituary
William Howard Rowe (60), of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, died suddenly of natural causes on the 4th of April, 2017 while away on business in Chicago, IL. He was born Nov. 24, 1956 in San Francisco, California.
He was a “larger than life” presence in the world, and left a space that will never be filled. Bill was an enthusiastic member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served valiantly in every capacity in which he was asked to serve. He was highly respected in his profession as a recruiter for the equipment leasing industry.
Bill is survived by Anne, his cherished wife of 22 years; his mother Alice; sister Donna; brother Jim; sons Joel and Austin; daughters Aubrey and Cheyenne, including son-in-law Michael and daughter-in-law Kinzie; grandchildren Tyler (9), Emma (8), Jacob (5), and Gracie (3) Kleinschmidt, and Adam Max (7), Harley (4), and Dexter (1) McRae. He is preceded in death by his father Marvin, brother Steve, and beloved son Geoff.
Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 30522 Via Con Dios, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688. Please send flowers to O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

The entire family means so much to our family. Anne is my daughter’s caregiver at school everyday since Kiana was in 5th grade – she’s a junior in high school now! I cannot say enough good things about all of you & my thoughts & prayers are with you during this unbelievably difficult, unfair time in your lives. I look forward to celebrating Bill’s life with you on Saturday. This picture from 15 months ago always makes me smile. He was “larger than life”! God Bless You! RIP Bill.

4 years ago I was only recently re-active in the church and wanted to get a Temple recommend. Bill ended up as my “temple prep” teacher. I always liked Bill at church, very confident, strong and articulate in his faith, and I appreciated all that I learned from him and it was a lot, he got me started thinking about things in a new way. I’m going to miss you my friend.

Bill Rowe, although physically imposing, tall and possessing that distinctive baritone voice we all loved, consistently bore the most humble testimony of Jesus Christ. He seemed to have found himself at 37 and was born again in Christ and he never failed to share deep gratitude for his Savior. I loved how much he loved his family. He was particularly proud of his son, Austin, who had just recently returned from a voluntary two-year LDS Church mission in Germany. I am so sorry for his family’s loss.

Bill Rowe helped a struggling young man find a job after a fruitless year of searching after graduating from university. It is because of him that I found a job that I enjoyed, and because of him that I ended up attending law school. Without Bill taking the time out of his busy schedule to help someone in need, my life would be very different today. I am eternally grateful for Bill Rowe – through his good heart and kindly actions, he left the world a better place than it was before him. I am deeply sorry for his family’s loss, I am going to miss him greatly.
