Obituary

~ billyonthebass ~

A fine musician, talented artist, wonderful son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, friend, cat-dad, Best Husband.  Billy poured his entire heart & soul into every relationship, every gig, every chore.

He was an extraordinarily talented, gracious, kind and generous man.  His humor wicked, very silly, crude and came off sweet doin’ it.  Just hilarious.  Beautiful laugh, and a very handsome dude.

He was a God-Loving man…unpretentious, honest, gentle and strong.

Billy was the groove-master.  He could groove, man, and he never forgot that it was all about ‘one’.

‘Groove in Peace, Billy…ain’t no rest for the Funky’

We hope you can make it to Billy’s memorial service and / or the reception immediately following.

Dear Gwen,I’m so sad that Billy has left us. Someone like your Billy who has touched the hearts of so many will always be with us, who were so privileged to know him.
The two bands that we were in together were a very special time for me. God has plans for him in Heaven. In Christ we will be reunited, for that I’m so grateful.
    Much love.

  2. Dear Gwen –
What a gift! I am so thankful God gave us Bill. We are heartbroken he is physically gone, but so thankful to have met him. Truly, we will all miss his awesome expression of worship. I look forward to hearing one of his students in the future up there, and we’ll know “this one’s for Bill”.

Jay & I are so terribly sad about Bill. He was a super guy & very special to us, as you will always be as well. He had such a warm smile & so very kind & helpful to others. I enjoyed his music & just know he’s still sharing that in Heaven with the angels & smiling down on us. I’ll never forget what he did for Judy with her guitar so now they’re once again making music together, until someday you join them with your wonderful singing. God bless you in the days ahead with strength to keep singing as music helps give us peace. Lots of love, Ginny

  4. Dear Gwen

My deepest sympathies on your loss. You and Bill were such a cute, so supportive of each other. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.
