Obituary

~ billyonthebass ~

A fine musician, talented artist, wonderful son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, friend, cat-dad, Best Husband.  Billy poured his entire heart & soul into every relationship, every gig, every chore.

He was an extraordinarily talented, gracious, kind and generous man.  His humor wicked, very silly, crude and came off sweet doin’ it.  Just hilarious.  Beautiful laugh, and a very handsome dude.

He was a God-Loving man…unpretentious, honest, gentle and strong.

Billy was the groove-master.  He could groove, man, and he never forgot that it was all about ‘one’.

‘Groove in Peace, Billy…ain’t no rest for the Funky’

We hope you can make it to Billy’s memorial service and / or the reception immediately following.

  2. Dear Gwen,

We are so sorry to hear about Bill. We are praying for you, and Bill will always be in our hearts. What a wonderful man, musician, and friend. He touched the lives of so many people from the students he taught, to all of the other musicians he played with, to the congregation he ministered to through his music. There will not be a day that will go by that Bill will not be remembered and loved.

    Love, Blake and Sina

  4. Dear Gwen,

Words can’t begin to express how shocked and sad we feel. Please know, we love you and are here for you. While Bruce and Billy shared many years of music and road related memories, I will always remember him for those great expressions when he played and his kind and gentle nature. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

    With love and sympathy,

    Cindy and Bruce Boulanger

    Dearest Gwen,
Our prayers our with you in this difficult time. We are all so sad about losing Bill. He always had a smile on his face….even last week as we wrestled with the copy machine in the church office…he was smiling as we both removed stuck papers. He had the sweetest spirit! You will be in my prayers and in my heart. We are here for you to help in any way we can!
    Love,Cindy
