William P. Condon, Jr. (“Bill”)
William P. Condon, known to most as Bill or Billy, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was 58.
Born on September 09,1967, Bill grew up in Caldwell, New Jersey, where he formed the foundation of the lifelong friendships he treasured so deeply. He went on to attend St. Anselm College, continuing to build the connections and community that would remain central throughout his life. In 1999, he moved to Laguna Beach, California, where he met his wife, Irene, and her daughter, Adeline. They later married and welcomed their daughter, Alexandra, together, building a life centered on love and family. For a time, they lived on Daniel Island, South Carolina, before returning to Laguna Beach.
He is also survived by his loving parents, Bill and Carole; his sisters, Susan, Karen, and Pam; his brothers-in-law, Dani, Keith, and Chris; his sister-in-law, Dana; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Kiera, Celia, Liam, Kristen, and Kyle, along with many extended family members. He was predeceased by his adored mother-in-law, Virginia (Mimi), and, sadly, never had the opportunity to meet his father-in-law, Constantin.
Bill was blessed with an extraordinary circle of friends who were like family members. Among them was his cherished group known as the “Magnificent 7,” a bond that endured for more than 40 years-a testament to the loyalty, laughter, and love he brought into the lives of those around him.
Bill had a deep passion for music and was rarely happier than when playing his guitar. He loved to travel, especially to France, where he cherished time spent with family. A devoted sports fan, he could often be found cheering on the Mets, sharing both the highs and lows with humor and perspective.
He built a successful career in financial services, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Over the years, he formed many lasting professional relationships that grew into genuine friendships, reflecting the same loyalty and warmth that defined all areas of his life.
His Catholic faith was an important and steady presence in his life, guiding him with quiet strength.
To spend time with Bill was to laugh. He had a remarkable gift for humor and a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued, and included. He was deeply caring, quick with a joke, and generous in spirit—someone who left every person and every place better than he found it.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those who had the privilege of knowing Bill understand that they were touched by someone truly extraordinary—a rare and special person whose impact will be felt for years to come.
A Mass will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Siena in Laguna Beach on Friday, May 15th at noon. Interment will follow at 2:15 at Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest.
