Obituary
William (Bill) Wilfred Bisson passed to the Lord on June 11th, 2020 peacefully in his sleep. Bill was born November 14th, 1942 in Brunswick, Maine.
He enlisted in the Navy (Seabees) from 1961 to 1963, and was stationed at (Gitmo) Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
In 1964, Bill moved to California to pursue a career as a firefighter. He worked first, for the Fontana Fire District, then El Monte Fire. In 1968 he was hired by Los Angeles City Fire Dept. where he ultimately advanced to Assistant Chief. Bill worked for L.A.F.D. for 40 years, and loved every minute. He was well respected.
On April 26, 1969 he married the love of his life, Marcy, and had 51 years with her.
Bill leaves behind his wife, Marcy; two girls, Jennie and Shannon; and three grandchildren, Trinity, Jessica and Grady.
Goodbye, Bill. We love you with all our hearts, 88’S.

Although I only knew Bill a short while I did know his wife for many years through my wife and Marci’s fascination with horses. The time I did spend with Bill I found a kind and good man, although he was suffering from his illnesses he had a very positive attitude and always smiled, a lesson for us all. I wish I got to know him much sooner before his battle but am glad for the time I did get to spend with him. In the brief time I knew him he left me with a feeling that I knew him all my life. My Prayers for Bill’s family. The void left behind can and will never be filled until the day when we all get to spend eternity with him and all our other friends and family that left our lives. May God smile down on Bill’s family and give them God’s peace .

Our deepest sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. In our grief we are reminded once again of Bill’s love for his family, his devotion to his profession, and his ability to make us laugh while not taking life to seriously. My uncle you will be sadly missed.
