Wanda Bethel of Barstow, California, a resident of Barstow for more than 50 years, died on September 14, 2009 at Irvine, California. Wanda Bethel worked for years at the Barstow Senior Center as an employee of the County of San Bernardino as the Senior Information Liaison. Mrs. Bethel was instrumental in the establishment of many of the Senior Citizen facilities in the High Desert.

Services will be held for Wanda Bethel at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2571 Barstow Road Barstow, California on September 18, 2009. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Burial following immediately at Mountain View Cemetery 37067 Irwin Road Barstow, CA

Wanda is survived by her sons, Frank Conner, Kenneth Bethel, Jr. and Melvin Bethel; Sister Nadine Eubanks; and grandchildren David Conner, Andrew Conner, Crystal Bethel Isho, and Forrest Bethel.
