Walter Romanowski passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2018.  He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughters, Nicole, Danielle and Megan; his mother, Fannie; his sister Ruthie.  He was born on April 3, 1961 to Fannie and Walter Romanowski and grew up in New Jersey.  He was a graduate of New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler where as a student athlete he played basketball and earned a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Walter began his career in the Maritime Industry in 1984, working with United States Lines, Ducal Ltd.  He served as President of California United Terminals; Vice President at Marine Terminals and President of Pacific/Gulf Region at Ports America.

Walter was a man of great character, personality, vitality, and had a tremendous zest for life.  He was a loving son, husband and father.  His family was his pride and joy.  He was his daughters’ biggest fan and supporter throughout their athletic careers.  He was a devoted husband and enjoyed sharing each day with the love of his life, Eileen.  Walter was very present in his community and always eager to help those in need.  He was a loyal friend who provided laughter, wisdom and support to all he loved.

Walter’s undeniable charisma and joy of life will be remembered at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:00am at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church, 22082 Antonio Pkwy, Rancho Santa Margarita, California.  There will be a Celebration of Life following the service.  Please feel free to drop in 1:30-5:00 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, 21500 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach.
