I was sorry to hear of the passing of your father, & my Uncle Wally. I will always have fond memories of him, from the time I accidentally stepped in his vegetable garden when I was ten, he wasn’t upset, or the many times he and your mother opened their home for family reunions. A great time was had by all!
He will be remembered by me as a “good person” & a caring Uncle.

I worked with Walt in the Neighborhood Watch program for 13 years, as the City’s representative from the Fire Dept. I retired in 2002 and missed seeing him. He was always so gracious to me and even when he could not speak as fluently later on after the stroke, we always seemed to understand each other’s needs. The photo I have of him and me hugging at a celebration at his home will always be special to me.
