Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Berg Christensen, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who left us on December 16, 2024. Walter was born on January 5, 1948, in Butte, Montana, and he lived a life filled with love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
From a young age, Walter had a passion for woodworking that blossomed into a successful business, allowing him to share his artistry with the world. His talent and dedication brought warmth and beauty to thousands of homes, creating masterpieces that will be cherished for generations.
Walter’s love for nature was evident in everything he did. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time outdoors, nurturing the garden, or exploring the wilderness. His connection to the world around him inspired those who knew him and left a lasting impact on his family and friends.
Walter is survived by his loving sister, Pam, beloved wife, Karen, his children, Shane, Jeff and Shawna, their spouses Romy and Megan, and his cherished grandchildren, Brielle, Joseph, Jake, Nina and Matilda. He will be remembered not only for his incredible talent but also for his unwavering love and support for his family.
A celebration of Walter’s life will be held in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Yellowstone Forever, honoring Walter’s love for nature and his commitment to leaving the world a better place.
Walter Berg Christensen will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, creativity, and appreciation for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
