She was the rock for the family and kept everything together through the years. She was a successful real estate agent for a few years in Michigan until she and Gene retired to New Port Richey, Florida in 1975 until they left there in 1997 to live out their years near one of their daughters in beautiful Mission Viejo, California.
She was a fun, caring and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene and son, John. Violet is survived by her sister, Renee and her 4 children: Michael Marx, Beth Fowler, Jeff Marx and Judith Vernier as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Violet was a loving, caring wife and mother who throughout her life enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, playing bridge, painting and spending time with her family.
A celebration of her life will be held at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills on Sunday, August 5 at 4pm.
