Obituary
Violet M. Marx of Mission Viejo, CA passed peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
She was born on February 6, 1921 in Port Huron, Michigan. Her siblings included sister, Renee Zelinsky who is still living near Port Huron and a brother Joe, who is probably laughing with her now. She graduated with top honors and went on own her store named ‘Vi’s Variety’. Later she married Gene Marx and had 5 wonderful children. The family was transferred around the country as Gene was opening new plants for Chrysler with the home base always back in Michigan. She was the rock for the family and kept everything together through the years. She was a successful real estate agent for a few years in Michigan until she and Gene retired to New Port Richey, Florida in 1975 until they left there in 1997 to live out their years near one of their daughters in beautiful Mission Viejo, California.
She was a fun, caring and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene and son, John. Violet is survived by her sister, Renee and her 4 children: Michael Marx, Beth Fowler, Jeff Marx and Judith Vernier as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Violet was a loving, caring wife and mother who throughout her life enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, playing bridge, painting and spending time with her family.
A celebration of her life will be held at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills on Sunday, August 5 at 4pm.

Mama,
How can I express the love I have for you. I cherish every moment that we spent time together and made beautiful memories. Thank you for showing me how to be a women like you. I feel I have alot of your qualities and I am blessed to follow your footstep. You came to me the night you passed and opened my eyes that life is to be lived and to live for today with love and happiness. My best memory that will be close in my heart is the times we spent talking like best friends. I wish I could have shown you more how you meant the world to me and I am sorry that I was not with you holding your hands but I was there in spirit with all my love for you. Now you are up in Heaven showing your beauty to all the angels and God has took you in his arms and said you are home now! Your wish is coming true that your family will set you free at the place you have loved ever since you where a little girl.
