Obituary
Velia A. Moffa, 84, was born September 21, 1925 in Bojano, Campobasso, Italy and passed away October 15, 2009 at home in Lake Forest, CA. Velia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Aldo M. Moffa; daughter, Maria Bryan Levenson, nieces Maria Cristina and Rosanna Montisano, Ersilia Cicchese, and nephew Gianluigi Cicchese.

I send thoughts and hugs from Wisconsin. I remember fondly the night Raymond introduced me to the family. Velia served me my first cup of espresso. It didn’t take me long to fall in love with it, and her. Know that Raymond and I wish that we could be there to share these memories in person. Our prayers are with you and your family. Please accept condolences from the Carosielli Family. Stella talks about you often and your famous trip across the US. She was so sorry to hear about Valia. Give our love and sympathy to Aldo and Maria. Stella is still chugging along, 98 on Friday the 23rd.

Velia was like part of our family. The many years we lived in California we were close.Velia did her best to TRY to teach me to speak Italian. I wasn’t a very good student sad to say. After we returned to Pennsylvania she called me often so we kept in touch.I treasure the memories; the hospitality and the wonderful meals we shared over the years.
