Vannak Lee Timmins
January 5, 1961 to April 11, 2009

After a 5-year battle with cancer, Vannak Lee Timmins passed away in her home surrounded by family members on April 11, 2009. The eldest of six children, Vannak led her mother and five of her siblings from four years of back-breaking labor in one of Pol Pot's labor camps to a Thai refugee camp. Vannak and family immigrated to the United States in 1981, where she would work 15 years for the Orange County Social Services Agency, start her own family, and earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine.

She is survived by her mother, Rhann Young; brothers, Frank, Anthony, and Brett; sisters, Paneth and Julia; nephews, Justin, Nathan, and Cambren; and children, Sarah Lee, Billy Victor Lee, and stepdaughter, Tritia Timmins; and husband, Dr. Terry Timmins.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at O'Connor Mortuary Chapel, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills.
