IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ulla Jensen
Clair
June 5, 1947 – August 8, 2023
Ulla Jensen Clair
Ulla Jensen Clair passed into the embrace of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 8, 2023, at 76 years old.
Ulla is survived by her loving children Michelle, Susan, Karen, and Scott along with her beloved grandchildren Austin, Levi, Noah, Taylor and Sydney.
Ulla was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Margot and Arne Jensen. The family immigrated to the United States in 1950, and eventually settled in Chicago, IL. She attended Ottawa University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. She would use this degree to teach High School Physical Education early in her career. In 1984, Ulla embarked on a new chapter, relocating with her children to Orange County, CA. Here she began a new career, working for the IRS, until she retired in 2011.
Ulla loved music! She loved to play the piano, sing in the church choir, and would often play handbells during special events at church.
She also had a love for sports and enjoyed watching her grandchildren compete. Whether it was a cheer competition, baseball / softball game, or a motocross event she was always there cheering them on.
In her retirement, Ulla learned to crochet and began volunteering for "Knots of Love", a charity that donates homemade hats and blankets to people in need. It is estimated that she crocheted over 1,000 beanies for cancer patients and newborn babies.
Ulla loved Jesus and strived to live a life that reflected her faith. She was compassionate, extremely generous and would often put others before herself.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we find peace knowing that like the apostle Paul she could confidently say,
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me…" 2 Tim. 4:7-8
