Tristan was born and raised in Dana Point, California. He spent his early years playing in the streets of Monarch Bay. He loved building skate ramps with neighborhood friends and body boarding in the waves at the beach club. As Tristan got older he joined the Mammoth snowboard team and spent many winter days there, staying at his Grandma and Grandaddy’s condo and enjoying the mountain with his teammates, sister, Dad, Mom, and Papa. These wonderful times would later lead him to Colorado where he took advantage of the mountainous terrain.

Tristan played tennis at Laguna Beach High School and went on to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at California State University, Fullerton. During college he reconnected with his now wife Chloe, who he had known since high school. After college, they moved to Colorado to chase the thrills of nature. He absolutely loved being outdoors whether it was alpine touring, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, or just hanging with his dog by the river. Although the outdoors were his greatest passion, Tristan had a deep appreciation for all of life’s beauty.

Tristan measured the richness of his life by the moments he spent with his family. The Krogius and London family trips, summer Fridays at G-ma’s and G-Daddy’s pool, the visits to Nana and Papa’s for bike rides and beach time, the jokes shared, and the times spent with beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tristan is such a special person; this is evident by how many people deeply loved him. He is absolutely hilarious and makes people laugh even on their worst day. Ever a storyteller, he would often come home with the most detailed accounts of his days. It almost felt like you were right there with him. He loves his friends and always spoke of them with the utmost admiration. Every person in his life has a wonderful, funny story about their times shared together.

Tristan is survived by his beloved wife, Chloe; his loving parents, Stephanie and Tony; his sister, Michelle, and her wife, Lauren; and his faithful companion, Zoey.

A private Funeral Mass will be held for Tristan with immediate family and invited guests.

All who knew and loved Tristan are warmly invited to join in a public paddle out and beach gathering at Monarch Bay. The gathering is tentatively planned for September 7, in honor of Tristan's birthday. Additional details will be shared as they become available.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tristan's memory to the organizations listed below. Your generosity will help honor his legacy and support causes that were meaningful to him and his family.
