Travis was one of my best friends, although I only had the privelage of knowing him for 3 years, we hit it off instantly. I was introduced to him by Jared and we were soon the “Three Pendejos” Travis and I shared our passion for music, history, heritage especially our Irish heritage, and life in general. We would speak for hours on end about these things, and although we didn’t always see eye to eye, we each walked away with more knowledge and respect for each other. Travis had a heart of gold, and was a testament to how I wish more people would live life. He was always there for me through the best of times, and the worst of times. He lived and breathed his family and his friends. He was spirtual in every sense of the word and he lived by Christ’s teachings he not only took up his cross, but each and every person he came into contact with. People who had the honor of meeting Travis would instantly take a liking to him. There are very few people that come into our lives that have such an impact on us, and Travis was one of those people. I will miss him, but I know he is in Heaven watching over each and every one of us, and possibly getting under every one’s skin playing his tin whistle! I love you Trav and I’ll see you on the other side bro! Until then I’ll tip a Guinness in your honor! Slainte!

  2. Travis,
You will be greatly missed and I am honored to have been able to know you, even if it was for just a short time.
RIP, you will reamin in my thought and prayers always.

  3. My greetings to the family and friends:
I am still feeling the pain of Travis death.
He reached out to me and invited me into his house even though he hardly new me.
He took me by the hand and led me on a tour of his special underwater world.
He trained kickboxing with passion and learned fast.
We raced go carts together and he shared some of his military secrets with me.
He shared his love for Irish music playing all his favorite tunes for me to hear. I would listen to him at night practicing on his instruments.
We both acknowledged our ADD symptoms and the need for adrenalin stimulating activities. He overcame certain challenges for the dreaded fear of falling into mediocrity.
Looking back on some of the things he said and the poem he wrote, It was as if he knew his time was short, but he was not going to worry about it. After all he knew was going to a better place.
The image of his face and his smile does not cease to bring tears to my eyes.
What is it about the loss of Travis that has made me weep more than any other death? Please explain it to me because it is a mystery.
I will live my life differently now because of what I have learned from him and his mysterious message.
I will try not to let a day go by without recognizing its significance…
My love goes out to all the family and friends of Travis.
    Good by my friend

    Trav,
Life dealt you some hardships, but you always took them in stride. I will most remember the gentle goodness that you possessed. A soft heart for children and animals, and the kindest eyes…you were my gentle giant. I am at peace knowing that our Heavenly Father has his arms wrapped around you now. You are safe. You are home.
You will be in my heart forever.

    Candace
