  1. My most sincere condolences to Toni’s family. I recall her stories of the children when she was at University of Missouri (MU). And Jim was dear as well. Toni initiated and/or significantly contributed to many projects while she was at the University of Missouri and their positive outcomes continue, most notably advocating for APRN legislation, Aging in Place and distance education. Her legacy will continue and her picture is proudly displayed on the “Dean’s Wall” in the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. God bless her and the remaining family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Toni was creative and energetic. She recognized opportunities where others saw obstacles. Toni was deeply committed to moving nursing forward as a means to improving health outcomes.

  5. Wendy says:

Jim and Jill, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, my aunt and my father’s sister. As a child I looked up to her with awe. She was always amazing; exuding capabilities I could only dream to aspire to. However, despite my aunt’s stature in the nursing community she never neglected to display an immense love for her immediate family, as well as, Kathy, Willy and me, her nieces and nephew. When I was little she would rush into our house on Christmas or Thanksgiving, with her pies and family in tow, yet look for us to hug and coddle. She really was a special aunt and a special lady. She will be missed, but continue to be loved and often thought of!.

I love you, Aunt Noni –
    Wendy
