Tomas Jan Holman was born 12/17/64 in Pardubice, Czech Republic and died on 1/2/24 in Orange County, California. Tom is survived by his son Joey Holman, daughter Abby Holman, mother Maria Holman and brother Alex Holman.

Tom lived an amazing life.  He grew up in Czech with loving family around him. He attended the University of Prague and received his degree in Economics. Upon graduation in 1987, Tom knew he could not remain in a communist country and defected to Italy. He lived in Rome for two years, learned the language, made many friends, and was even baptized by John Paul II.

After leaving Rome, Tom came to Orange County in 1990 and has remained ever since.

In 1998 Tom married Diane Quattrin and they had two beautiful children, Joey and Abby. Tom's world revolved around his kids. Although Tom and Diane did not remain married, they remained good friends.

Tom coached hockey for almost 30 years and half those years, he was coaching his son Joey.

His love for the outdoors had him and Abby at the beach, hiking, walking their beloved dog as much as they could.

Tom had many passions; he was a talented artist, amazing athlete, loved music and playing guitar, loved to cook especially pasta, loved to take care of his plants, loved animals, and just loved life.

Unfortunately, Tom had a heart attack while playing hockey – doing what he loved – and was not able to be saved.

The common denominator from anyone who shares a memory of Tom, he always had a huge smile on his face. He will be missed tremendously.
