Remembering Tom Yankoff

Tom H. Yankoff, age 79, of San Juan Capistrano, CA, walked into glory and the arms of Jesus after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's on August 25, 2026.

Tom was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Known for his leadership, spiritual mentorship, generosity, and devotion to his family, Tom maintained a strong sense of duty to provide and protect.

He is survived by his wife, Dina; two sons, Trevor (Tracie) and Derek (Lauren); grandchildren Colson (Chloe), Samuel, Leydn, Vann, Madelynn, and Rory; and great-grandson, Luka. He is also survived by his siblings Susie Yankoff, Patty Staley, Elsie Lanchbury, and Richard Yankoff. His brother Wayne and sister Tammy preceded him in death.

A home-going Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Coast Hills Church, located at 5 Pursuit, Aliso Viejo, California 92656.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the amazing staff and caregivers at the Silverado San Juan Capistrano Memory Care Community, who lovingly cared for him.

Tom’s faith, wisdom, kindness, strength of character, and sense of humor will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
