Obituary
Todd Sterling Carter
Todd Sterling Carter, born October 22, 1959, in Hollywood, California, died on August 31, 2023, at the age of 63.
Todd loved his family. He grew up in Pacoima, California with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters where he enjoyed scouting, participating in church activities and being from a big family. His Dad was his hero and he thought his mom was his own personal Angel.
Todd loved living in southern California, riding his motorcycles, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren. He loved the beach and spent one week every year camping and enjoying a family reunion that everyone was invited to and many cherished memories were made. He also loved his Lakehouse in Texas and spent many hours falling off tubes, racing jet skis and catching fish with his family.
He had a long career of 37 years working for Mercedes-Benz, ending with his friends at Mercedes-Benz of Anaheim where he was the General Manager.
He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a full time mission in Independence, Missouri in his youth and spent countless hours serving in many leadership capacities. His favorite calling was teaching gospel doctrine for several years. He loved serving everyone and everyone he met became a friend!
Todd will be remembered for his kind, servant’s heart, his positive and happy spirit, his infectious laugh and always ready smile.
Todd is survived by his wife Jan Carter and their beautifully blended children Christy Alfrey, Stacy Chalmers, Conrad Carter, Victoria Wennerholm, Cynthia Rivero, Ariana Near, Desirae Terry and Kayvon Aussef. Todd was blessed with 21 ½ grandchildren. He adored every one of them! They were his happiness.
Todd is also survived by his former wife Connie Carter and his siblings Mark Carter, Burt Carter, Lisa Carter, and Shelley Carter Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents Kathleen and Wilson Carter, his younger brother Kent Carter, his granddaughter Audrey Carter and his step-son David Killpack.
