  1. Yesterday as my son, Chris, was driving me to the airport we were discussing Tina’s passing. It has been a long time since we saw Tina and Chris probably saw her last when he was in 5th grade at about the age of 12. He’s not typically one to remember schoolmates parents but he did say, “I just remember her as being probably the nicest mom I have ever met”. Yep, you could always find Tina with a smile and a genuinely beautiful greeting.

  2. Tina Marie was our neighbor in San Clemente in the mid-80’s and she and Dave made it a point to attend our annual Independence Day party even years after they moved away. In 1995 she came when she was over 9 months pregnant with Taylor. Here’s a photo of her helping grill some meat. She always brought something delicious with her and was the first to help serve food and clean up afterwards. Tina had a heart of gold and brought love and kindness to everyone she met. George and I and our kids will truly miss our dear friend.

  3. Emily Curtin says:

Last summer I was living alone in Orange County. My family was going through a lot, and I was feeling alone until Taylor came into my life. I was regularly invited over to the Rowden home. About the third time I met Mrs. Rowden, she asked me how I was doing and I dissolved into tears. She held me, encouraged me, advised me and pointed me to Christ. There was no hesitation in loving me and welcoming me into her home and family. She was what I needed right then, and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to receive wisdom and love from her.

  4. Tina was the Novartis rep who was a very big part of the beginning of what is now CML Busters Family Support Cancer Group, 14 years ago. She took us under her wing, recognized the importance of this new drug, the significance of our CML journeys and helped to get us sponsored by Novartis for about 5 years. Then the rules changed nationally because of some conflict of interest issues. She was a devoted and continuous patient advocate for our Chronic Myeloid Leukemia warriors who were all taking the same revolutionary oral drug to save their lives. We are sure she learned from us and our new experiences with this drug and we certainly couldn’t have gone as far as we did nor understand as much as we learned from her as patients, without her. Thankfully, Tina and I continued to stay in contact through the years after she worked for pharma. She was an amazing person. I am still in denial that she lost her battle so young. Weeping but thankful for even knowing her and especially for having her in my life … Tina was amazing …

  5. I absolutely loved Tina Marie, she was the sweetest person I have ever known. She would walk into my office and light up the entire place. So many times I would be struggling with matters of the day at hand and she would walk in and pour her beautiful sunshine my way and make everything better. She as many of you know had a beautiful soul, always willing to help and make you feel better. I will miss her and never forget the wonderful person she was to me and my staff. She will forever be in our hearts. Tom Rogers/Max Muscle Orange County
