Obituary

Thomas “TR” Raymond Coleman III went home to Jesus on August 22, 2022 at the age of 67 surrounded by his loving family.

TR was born to Thomas Raymond Coleman Jr and Carole Ann Coleman on March 3, 1955. He grew up with his 4 siblings in Clinton, CT. TR attended RIT in Rochester, New York as a Graphic Arts Major, he moved to Laguna Beach, CA in 1980 to start his 27 year career in Commercial Printing. He later became a Mortgage Broker and pursued that career until his diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease & cancer in 2015.

TR met his wife, Ann (Cochran) Coleman in 1981. They married four years later on January 12, 1985 and went on to have two children, Bradlee and Zachary.

In addition to being a dedicated, loving father & husband, TR also loved to golf, fish, play softball and attend Angels games with his family and friends. TR was part of ministry team that regularly went down to Mexico and built homes for the families in need. He also worked in the children’s ministry with his wife.  As his Alzheimer’s progressed, music became very therapeutic and he LOVED Adele, so she was played in our home daily. I am so glad we were able to take TR to see her last time she toured.

TR is survived by his loving wife, Ann, his sons, Brad & Zach. His brother Tim & his wife Debbie, his sisters Lisa, Kimberly and Heather & her husband Richard. Along with 14 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.

To Ann, boys and Coleman family, my deepest condolences.
I only met T R a couple of times and remember him fondly. He was one of Dianne’s favorites. God bless

  3. Huge Hugs for sadness with Grief but unbridled Joy that we will see TR and other Lived Ones again when we arrive at our own Homecoming back at our Real Home in Heaven!

  4. In memory of TR,

The first time I met him was back in the early 90’s. TR worked for a large commercial printer in Orange County (I can’t remember the name, I want to say Franklin American or something like that). He was in charge of the electronic prepress department and I worked for a systems integrator who sold electronic prepress equipment to commercial printers. I thought he was a tough customer, as he would ask very pointed questions and would scrutinize each aspect of the product offerings. Despite the fact that he never bought anything from me, he was always nice and would take my calls. I didn’t know he was a Christian, and I don’t think he knew I was one.

Our career paths took us in different directions for a few years until I saw him once again at Mission Hills Church in Mission Viejo. I pointed to him and said, “I know you”, to which he replied, “Yes, you do”. This time our connection had the Lord as our common denominator and we enjoyed really getting to know each other much better. We played a few times together on the church men’s softball team. We did a few couple’s get togethers with Ann and my wife. The things that always stood out to me about TR was his great, beautiful pearly white wide smile (framed by that thick bushy moustache of his). You could not miss is, and you never forget it. He had such a care for people and always wanted to offer a hand wherever he could.

I’m sorry we lost track over the years. I’ve moved away, and it seems TR was battling his health challenges. I didn’t realize the extent of them. One thing is for sure: TR is in the presence of his Creator and Savior. Indeed, no more suffering. No more pain. Eternal life is secure.

For TR’s family. My heart goes out to you all. This chapter of your life is closed, and life as you know it will never be the same again. Adjusting now to the empty seat that was once occupied by such a great man will be difficult. Rejoice, though, in knowing that your life has been more fulfilled as a result of having TR as a part of it. May you find peace in the Lord, as you recall memories and stories of TR. He will forever be a part of you.

  5. Sharon Moore says:

Blessings to all of the Coleman Family, especially Ann, as you move forward in your journey in life with the great memories you have of TR. May your precious memories bring a smile and laughter to your hearts as you remember TR in a very special way~

Sending my Love and Prayers to you for comfort and Peace as you journey forward.
