In loving memory of Thomas Marquez
Born on May 4, 1950. Entered the kingdom of Heaven on October 10, 2026 at his home.
His words. “I’m surrounded by Beautiful faces“
Thomas served in the military, very young, shared stories about his time in Japan, Alaska and Kansas. His most important Journey was when he surrendered and gave his life to the Lord. He started off with Bible assembly of God, in South Gate and ended with Calvary Chapel, Seaside. He spent his life bringing others to the Lord, and preaching the word of God. His face lit up, talking about what the Lord has done for him. One of his greatest accomplishments. He loved walking on the beach, movies, popcorn with Rocky Road ice cream, and In-N-Out. His favorite.
Thomas was a man of God. He was a pastor, a friend, a mentor to all. He gave his life helping others, preaching the Word, so others can know the love of the Lord, like he had. He loved long walks at the beach, barbecues and being around family and friends. His laughter was contagious and his smile brought Joy. He had a gift for lightning up a room, making the heavy days feel a little lighter, just by being in them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne of 28 years and his six children, Josie, Anna, Cathy, Thomas, Victoria, and Jenny; his 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a very busy Man and never alone.
Thomas will forever be remembered as a strong man of God. His wisdom, knowledge of life, his beautiful soul, loving smile and his love for outdoor adventure. He leaves behind a legacy filled by his love and laughter. His gift to make others feel welcome is what made him stand out.
His last days we asked are you happy? “Yes! Yes I am.”
We love you and we will see you again soon.
“🎶I got five on it🎶” – Thomas (Dad)
