It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas James Hewitt, 40, announce his passing. He passed away on August 2, 2020 in Laguna Niguel, California after his struggle with Type 1 Diabetes of which he was diagnosed at the age of 16.

Beloved son to Wanda Keene Stuart and Billy Ray Hewitt, he was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on December 19, 1979. He enjoyed listening to music, 80’s comedy movies, shopping and family dinners. Tommy was very much loved and will be missed.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father Billy Ray Hewitt, uncle Timothy Hewitt, uncle Clark Hewitt, grandfather Rayburn Hewitt and grandfather Charles Keene Jr.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son Jordan Thomas Bates, mother Wanda Keene Stuart, brother William Hewitt, sister Andrea Keene, grandmother Margaret (Kelley) Cooper, grandmother Virginia Hewitt and nephew Aidan Ferdon.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles Mark Hewitt, Darlene Keene, Anthony Keene, Timothy Keene and many cousins.

His memorial service will be webcast at 2pm on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, California, https://www.oneroomstreaming.com/view/authorise.php?k=159727389371973 . Tommy will be laid to rest next year in our family resting place, Kelley Cemetery in Cannon, Kentucky; date to be announced.
