Teresa P. Schiavo

Terry led a life full of love and devotion to her family and close friends. She was known as Mom or Grandma to all her kids and grandkid’s friends and never hesitated to welcome anyone into her home as her extended family. At the young age of 71, Terry was called to Jesus’s side on July 30, 2012.

Terry was born an only child on April 13, 1941 on Easter Sunday in Compton, CA to Joseph and Josephine Palermo. On November 22, 1997, Terry married her soul mate, Martin Schiavo, in Corona del Mar, CA. Together, they shared almost 15 years of marriage.

Terry is survived by her husband, Martin Schiavo; her children, Julie Matyas and her husband Noel, Debbi Lopez, Ken Haraughty and his wife Irma and her seven grandchildren. Also, she is remembered by her step-son, step-daughter and her husband, nine step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services for the celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Aliso Viejo at 10:00 am. There will also be a reception immediately following the service at Martin and Terry’s home in Laguna Niguel.
