Susan Dellinger Lebowitz, age 59, of Laguna Niguel, California, beloved wife, sister, daughter passed away Sunday July 15, 2012 after a long courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Susan was born May 8, 1953 in Hickory, North Carolina. She graduated from Hickory High School and N.C. State University with a degree in Applied Mathematics. She spent twenty-five years as a software engineer in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerry A. Lebowitz; three brothers, Everette L. Dellinger of Hickory, NC, E. Terrell Dellinger of Durham, NC, and Tom A. Dellinger of North Richland Hills, Texas; two sisters, Iris D. Cansler of Hickory, NC and Elizabeth D. Ellenfield of Newton, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Kids Dellinger and Edith Whitener Dellinger of Hickory.

Services will be held at O’Connor Mortuary Chapel in Laguna Hills, California at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday July 19 with burial at El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest. Friends and family will be received at the home following the burial.
